Question by Liz: How long can a dog live without heartworm treatment?
We can’t afford treatment for our 7 1/2 year old dog (800-1000 dollars??!!) my question is could she still live for many years? She is not coughing often (once every couple of weeks?) she is abit sleepy but she is old. She eats well and she is fat. Actually another question she has a squishy jelly like flab of skin hanging off the bottom of her chest? (She’s not that fat!) also i did notice after her bath yesterday she was breathing really hard (panting) as she got stressed. So im just wondering how long she could have left without treatment?

so your saying your dog has been infected and you cant afford treatment and want to know how long he will live in pain before passing – Thsi is whereyou realize it would have been cheaper and better to have pais for the Heartguard right? dont know what to say – just sad – sorry
